Until Artists Become Art Entrepreneurs, They Will Not Nurture Their Art- Rajat Mohan Pathak

New Delhi [India] October 15: A seminar titled “Diksharambh” is being organized under the Faculty of Visual Arts at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) from October 4 to 9 for first-year BFA students. On Monday 7th October, Rajat Mohan Pathak addressed the seminar.

While encouraging the students, he emphasized that to be a good artist, it is essential to love one’s art and express emotions and thoughts through it. Only those artists who adopt these principles can become successful. He highlighted the need to consider the commercial future of art in one’s life. Until artists become entrepreneurs, they will not be able to nurture their art. Therefore, it is important for artists to learn how to earn money from their art. Art exists all around us; in every field, art can be found—it’s just a matter of embracing it according to one’s joy and ideas.

The guest artist, Professor Chawke Fren from Lebanon, praised Rajat Mohan Pathak’s thoughts during the event.

Also present were Dr. Uttama Dixit (Dean, Faculty of Visual Arts BHU), Suresh K. Nair (Student Advisor and Chairman, Faculty of Visual Arts BHU), along with around one hundred students.

Sincerely,

Suresh K. Nair

Student Advisor and Chairman, Faculty of Visual Arts BHU
